Providing fire resistance of steel structures for commercial, industrial and institutional buildings.
Cementitious fireproofing is the use of a coating based of Portland gypsum cement which is sprayed on the steel structures of various buildings in order to provide a rated fire resistance. This makes it possible to meet construction standards and protect the occupants in the event of a fire.
Our team of professionals can help you choose the right product according to your needs. Recommended by architects, engineers and construction professionals in Canada.
We also perform the protection of plastic foams (either sprayed polyurethane or polystyrene) that cannot be exposed inside a building or in certain construction "voids". We then protect the plastic foams with a cementitious coating such as Monokote Z-3306 from GCP Applied Technologies or with a white Intumescent paint. The latter swells and carbonizes when in contact with heat to create a protective barrier over the insulation.
